ISO 9001 is an international norm for quality management. The organisation ISO (International Organization for Standardization, Geneva) edits and manages the standard.
ISO 9001 sometimes is referred to in a simplified way as:

- proove it
ISO 22000 is a standard in the field of food safety and complements ISO 9000.
This ISO standard was developed to create a worldwide acceptable standard for food safety. ISO 22000 is applicable to all steps of the food chain, also including suppliers such as producers of packaging materials. ISO 22000 can be integrated with ISO 9001.
The demands by ISO 22000 to a food safety management system include following elements:
- interactive communication
- system management
- a program of basic conditions
- HACCP principles
